[Dan Cronin]

He’d said he thinks we can still be friends. I took that to mean that he wasn’t sure, but was hopeful. Now he’s asking to go somewhere quiet to talk to me. I don’t know what he wants to talk about, but I’ve got to keep telling myself to be as honest as I can.

I’m not going to tell him everything, because there are things that I don’t think any straight guy really wants to know, but I can’t hide anything important either. If he thinks I’ve been lying to him, then he’ll run as fast as he can. He won’t be able to trust me, anymore.

My biggest worry is the incident with the wet-jock competition. While my intentions at the time were honourable – I really thought he had a good chance of winning – it looks really bad in hindsight. I’m just hoping he’ll accept that.
