[Dan Cronin]
To be honest, Mike doesn’t have a problem with Garret; he has a problem with me. The first time he stayed here, I had to put a pillow over my head to try to block out the noise those two made all fucking night long!
It was the next morning that Kelly let slip the fact that I’m gay. Mike freaked out. Kelly slapped him down when he tried to accuse me of wanting his body – I’m not keen on the rugged biker look, complete with tattoos, so there was no chance of that – but the next night was a disaster. Mike was inhibited by me being in the same room. In the middle of the night, I had to get up and find somewhere else to sleep. At the time, there was an empty room available, as it was still early in the season and only a few lifts were operating, but after that I’ve had to arrange to sleep on the floor with some of the other towies here. I’m lucky that there is a room with four girls who consider me harmless, because I doubt any of the guys would let me stay in the same room as them, even after Garret’s told them that they have nothing to worry about.
Shit! Why did he have to come up this coming weekend?
I’m going to have to find a chance to tell Greg I’m gay before then, because Mike isn’t going to keep that little fact secret. He seems to delight in the snide remark.
